In recent years many cities and municipalities in California have established their own minimum wage rates.Here is a list of the current 2018 rates along with the previous 2017 rates.

The following California cities have minimum wage increases, effective July 1, 2018:

  • Belmont, CA: Minimum Wage of $12.50 per hour.
  • Emeryville, CA: Minimum Wage of $15.00 per hour for employers 55 or less, Minimum Wage of $15.69 per hour for employers of 55 or more.
  • Los Angeles City, CA: $12.00 per hour for employers of 25 or less, $13.25 per hour for employers of 26 or more.
  • Malibu, CA: Minimum Wage of $13.2 per hour.
  • Milpitas, CA: Minimum Wage of $13.50 per hour.
  • Pasadena, CA: $12.00 per hour for employers of 25 or less, $13.25 for employers of 26 or more.
  • San Francisco, CA: Minimum Wage of $15.00 per hour.
  • San Leandro, CA: Minimum Wage of $13.00 per hour.
  • Santa Monica, CA: $12.00 per hour for employers of 25 or less, $13.25 for employers of 26 or more.

2017 Minimum Wages

  • Belmont, CA: Minimum Wage of $11.00 an hour.
  • Emeryville, CA: Minimum Wage of $14.00 per hour for employers 55 or less, Minimum Wage of $15.20 per hour for employers of 55 or more.
  • Los Angeles City, CA: $10.50 per hour for employers of 25 or less, $12.00 per hour for employers of 26 or more
  • Malibu, CA: Minimum Wage of $12.00 per hour
  • Milpitas, CA: Minimum Wage of $12.00 per hour
  • Pasadena, CA: $10.50 per hour for employers of 25 or less, $12.00 per hour for employers of 26 or more.
  • San Francisco, CA: Minimum Wage of $14.00 per hour
  • San Leandro, CA: Minimum Wage of $12.00 per hour
  • Santa Monica, CA: $10.50 per hour for employers of 25 or less, $12.00 per hour for employers of 26 or more.
