Each week, we will feature a different document from our forms library and provide information about where to find it, what it's used for, and any necessary instructions. With this program, you'll always be one step ahead of the game when it comes to finding the forms you need.

This week, the HR Form of the Week is the: Payroll Overpayment Acknowledgement

For clients with access to the Forms Library, you can locate the document as follows:

If you have accidentally overpaid an employee and want to recoup the funds, there might be certain state-specific laws to follow before you can make the deductions. Please contact your GHR Manager to identify which laws apply in your state.

In all cases, you should inform the employee in writing of the payroll error and your plans to deduct the funds. This form can be used to document and enter into a repayment deduction agreement with the employee.

We hope you find this information valuable and that it helps to make your HR experience easier and more efficient.
